Ogimaawabiitong (Kenora Chiefs Advisory) is sending a huge Miigwetch to a number of local businesses and sponsors for helping provide hundreds of pounds of healthy food to our communities this holiday season.
On December 12, Ogimaawabiitong staff came together to organize and distribute pallets and skids of preserved and frozen foods, including fruits, vegetables, fries, chili, spices, brisket, bacon, and turkeys to our nine partner communities in northwestern Ontario – just in time for the holidays.
“We continue to be blown away by the kindness, support, and generosity towards our communities and our membership,” says Wauzhushk Onigum Nation Chief and KCA Board Member, Chief Skead.
“We send out the sincerest Miigwetch to our sponsors and share our deepest gratitude for the support we’ve continued to receive each holiday season. We’re excited to be able to assist our communities and their families with safe, healthy food this Christmas,” he adds.
Ogimaawabiitong is so appreciative of our partners who made this donation possible. We’d also like to highlight the efforts of our staff and community volunteers who arranged and facilitated the deliveries of the donations in each community.
“We are thankful that we are able to support your communities at this time,” adds Kyle Greenspan, COO of Confederation Freezers.
