The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is a vast organization united by one vision… “safe communities, a secure Ontario.” We are embedded in 320 communities across the province and have a total patrol area with over one million square kilometres of land and waterways.
First Nation, Metis and Inuit officers have an essential role to play in protecting citizens, upholding the law and preserving public safety. The OPP is dedicated to ensuring equitable and respectful workplaces. We are committed to reflecting the diverse communities we serve and encourage applications from Indigenous people.
In this information session, you will hear from Indigenous OPP officers as they discuss their experiences in policing and how they balance their culture and beliefs with their profession. You will hear from a recruiter with the OPP, who will share insights related to the hiring process, including an overview of the prerequisites and expectations at each stage of the process. This presentation will benefit those candidates who want to learn more about the OPP recruitment process, to ensure they are at their competitive best before they apply.
